To borrow from The Daily Show, here is your VanderCook moment of zen.... (Or would that be VanderZen?)

This morning's music history class started sedately enough. After helping the undergrad student workers rearrange the room from last night's lecture-demonstration, we sat in our blue Wenger chairs, laptops and pencils at the ready, awaiting the start of the day's lecture. The prof took attendance. Surprisingly, there were a couple of absences today. After calling out the name of the second absentee a few times in a row, he stopped for an instant, and then continued with, "Bueller... Bueller...."
