- to our enormous green canvas Eureka tent, home of many summer camping adventures, where the pounding rain would lightly mist through the fabric itself as we lay in our sleeping bags, dry and content
- to our pop-up camper, our upgraded camping lodgings in later years, where the rain pitter-pattered like a rainstick over the hard-shell portion and slap-slopped on the wing where Abby and I slept
- to a church family camping adventure at Pinery Provincial Park, where we created a huge tarp enclosure on our campsite and made food for the masses on a rainy, rainy day
- to Ludington summers, where rainy days meant a trip to the movie theatre or to the nature center to watch "that Dam movie"
I close my eyes and picture many more rainy places, far beyond the confines of the campground. However, the rain here is winding down, and so too must my mental meanderings. Rest is in order before playing tomorrow's church service. Stay tuned for tales of family wedding shenanigans!
