Holy smokes.

I need to win the lottery.

I don't want a house or a car or a boat or anything like that.

I want a million dollars to spend on CSO tickets. And also so that I don't have to work and will have more free time to attend concerts!

I've just been going through their season calendar in hopes of selecting a concert to attend. The process started out slowly enough. I have scheduling conflicts with most of the fall concerts anyway. But come spring, my pen started flying on the page, circling all of the things that would be awesome to attend.

• Mendelssohn "Reformation" Symphony? Yes, please!
• Kickin' string music by Elgar and Vaughan Williams? Double yes!
• Rach 2, my most favorite piano concerto ever-ever-ever-ever? Affirmative!
• Performance by the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields? Sure!
• An entire performance of PDQ Bach by CSO musicians? Most definitely!
• Dudamel's un-be-freaking-lievable youth orchestra? How could I say no?!?
• Tchaik violin concerto? Duh!
• Bach's St. John Passion? Heck yes!
• Faure/Haydn/Mozart? Sign me up!
• Two Beethoven symphonies? You have to ask?!?
• Beethoven 9?????? Amazing!! (Ooo, and I'll be back at VanderCook by then! Score!!!! Heck, in the overall scope of tuition a symphony ticket or two is more or less chump change....)

So, basically, I think I am going to spend the rest of my life attending CSO concerts every possible weekend.

OK, not really.

But only because I haven't won the lottery yet.
