back to school

This is it - the end of the summer of 2011. It's been a fantastic one, and I will be sad to see it go. No grad school, lots of awesome travels (which I really should post about sometime...), much progress on the house, and ample opportunities to relax. What a gift.

Now, however, it's time to turn the page, flip the switch, start the engines, or whatever other analogy you may care to use. I hope that this will be a good school year. More than that, I hope that I will keep in mind what's really important, and be as relaxed as possible about the rest.

In other news, today marks the one-year anniversary of our engagement. What a good (no pun intended) year it's been!
