There is something to be said for days like today. In what has become an extreme rarity, neither Aaron nor I had anything scheduled after school today. And so we spent a delightful late afternoon and evening at his house. We relaxed and talked for awhile. We ate some dinner. We sat at the kitchen table and worked on our computers: I graded playing tests while Aaron emailed, surfed the web, and put one of my pieces into Sibelius for me. (That boy is a keeper!) We read books together. We each did a little laundry.
Blissfully ordinary.
What a gift.
