One of the coolest things about living here in the giant toaster is that we are merely a hop, skip, and a jump away from U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. And what, you ask, is so cool about that?
Fireworks.
Every time the Sox get a home run, they shoot off fireworks. And sometimes there is a big fireworks show at the end of the game. I can see the fireworks from my desk when I work in my room. We can hear the fireworks while we sit in class. They echo over campus as we walk between buildings. And, well, it's just pretty stinking cool.
(PS: Bonus points if you know what I'm referring to in the title of this post!)
